antique mahogany chest of drawers

This is an early 19th-century solid mahogany "navy campaign" chest of drawers. This antique chest of drawers was once the property of an officer in the British Navy. Together, the owner and the chest of drawers made many distant journeys. Since this chest belonged to the personal property of the officer, and he served on various ships, the chest of drawers also traveled from ship to ship. For this transport, it was much easier to make it in two smaller parts, with detachable legs. (easier to maneuver, less damage) This ship's chest of drawers has a fantastic patina, entirely original and crafted with great craftsmanship.
